The article describes the goals of pharmacoepidemiology and provides introduction to randomized designs in post-marketing drug research by the example of large simple trials.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>фармакоэпидемиология – дисциплина, зародившаяся на стыке двух наук: клинической фармакологии и эпидемиологии. Основной акцент фармакоэпидемиологии направлен на постмаркетинговое выявление, анализ и оценку различных эффектов лекарств. Методология заимствована из эпидемиологии и большей частью повторяет различные дизайны обсервационных исследований. Тем не менее, решение некоторых задач может потребовать выполнения экспериментального дизайна, главным отличием которого от клинического рандомизированного исследования будет использование очень большой выборки, включающей все возможные группы пациентов в исследуемой популяции.
